"It’s an unwritten rule: warriors cannot collide while erect!"
Muscle I'd Like to Flex is the ninth episode in the first season of Workaholics. It first aired on June 1, 2011.
In the cold open, Blake, Adam, and Anders are preparing their wizard rap song for a competition taking place at a Middle Ages fair. However, Adam gets out of hand leading to his being scrutinized by Blake and Anders who are taking the competition seriously.
Adam becomes addicted to lifting weights and increasing his arm muscle size. His routine and physique has caught the attention of a lusty middle aged woman, who is also the landlord of the TelAmeriCorp office. The two become attached, but the relationship is merely physical. The woman allows Adam to move into her house who accepts and leaves his roommates behind. Blake and Anders form a plan to bring Adam back to the house because he is their friend and paying the rent would be more burdensome with only two people. The two visit Adam's new home, a mansion. While Adam shows Blake his new "office" and "tool shed" (his workout area), Anders seduces the landlord in order to make Adam jealous and leave the woman. Adam discovers this and becomes infuriated, threatening to harm Anders. Blake announces the two cannot duel because their penises are erect. After awhile, the two become flaccid and begin to battle, but Blake intervenes. Adam yells that he will no longer be friends with the two and will no longer partake in the wizard rap competition. In addition, he states that he finds an upcoming muscle-building competition more important than the rap contest. Angered, Blake and Anders return home but find it difficult to cope with each other without Adam. Before they leave for the Middle Ages fair, they discover that Adam has their song and go to the muscle-building competition to retrieve the CD.
When they arrive at the contest, the duo and Karl Hevacheck see that Adam is a participant. They cheer on Adam, even though his muscles are the smallest compared to the other candidates. They leave together and Adam stands up to his girlfriend and breaks up with her, complaining that she never supports him and his body building. She does not seem concerned and asks the other three if they want to come with her on a trip. Karl volunteers and when he gets on her motorcycle, she blows him off saying that he smells like "water trash."
